THIS IS A NEW REGION 1 PROCUREMENT ACTION SEEKING CONTRACTOR DIRECT ASSISTANCE FOR THE PALMER RIVER WATERSHED. JUSTIFICATION: THIS IS A WORK SCOPE FOR A NEW BPA TASK ORDER FOR THE PALMER RIVER WATERSHED. THE PROJECT SEEKS CONTRACTOR ASSISTANCE FOR (A) DEVELOPING RECOMMENDATIONS ON THE USE OF PHYLOCHIP FOR IDENTIFYING BACTERIAL CONTAMINATION, (B) ANALYZING WATER QUALITY TRENDS IN THE PALMER RIVER WATERSHED USING EXISTING WATER QUALITY DATA AND GEOSPATIAL INFORMATION; AND (3) ANALYSIS OF THE IMPACT THAT CHANGING LAND USE IS EXPECTED TO HAVE IN THE PALMER RIVER WATERSHED AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR REDUCING THE IMPACTS OF LAND DEVELOPMENT ON WATER QUALITY.
