HSCG3210J200042
HISTORICALLY, AT VARIOUS TIMES THROUGHOUT EACH FISCAL YEAR (FY), THE COAST GUARD (CG) RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT (R&D) PROGRAM HAS BEEN REQUESTED BY SENIOR CG LEADERSHIP (I.E. O-7 / O-6 / SES LEVEL) TO RAPIDLY INVESTIGATE A WIDE RANGE OF TECHNOLOGY ISSUES RELATING TO CURRENT OR PLANNED CG OPERATIONS AND PROCUREMENTS. TYPICALLY, A SENIOR LEADER DESIRES (WITHIN APPROXIMATELY A MONTH S TIMEFRAME) SOME ADDITIONAL INSIGHT INTO THE VIABILITY OF A SPECIFIC EMERGING TECHNOLOGY TO ENHANCE CG OPERATIONS. THESE STILL-EVOLVING, RECENTLY-NAMED REACT REPORTS ARE VIEWED AS AN EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY FOR INCREASED HIGH-LEVEL CG R&D PROGRAM VISIBILITY AND ARE EXPECTED TO RESULT IN ADDITIONAL SENIOR-LEADERSHIP-FOCUSED PROJECTS FOR CG R&D PROGRAM EXECUTION WITH THE POTENTIAL TO INCREASE THE VALUE OF THE CG R&D PROGRAM TO THE CG. 2.0 SCOPE. THE SCOPE OF THIS TASK ORDER IS TO SUPPORT CG R&D CENTER (RDC) STAFF DURING FY10 IN THE PLANNING, GENERATION, AND DOCUMENTATION OF THESE REACT REPORTS
